We are very pleased to have the opportunity to release a PB of single cask Azumi from Azumi Tamei. It is my favorite Azumi beated. This is the second single cask Azumi peated since the 2022 release by JsBAR, a famous store in Ikebukuro.
Unfortunately, the owner of JsBAR, Mr. Koto Mura, passed away suddenly in February of this year. I was a fan of Molt's blog and visited his store often when I came to Tokyo, and he also visited our store once. He was a bartender who truly loved and respected whiskey. This is also a chance of some kind, so I would like to share this single cask with you.
Azumi Peated pays homage to Mr. Mura, who has made a great contribution to the industry. It is for this reason that we have his trademark Ray-Bans hanging on the syrup. The illustration of the syrup on the label was designed by Mihoko Aoto of Bluepine, an advertising agency in the Hokkaido town of Bloomuro. We also asked her to design an additional syrup with Reiban on it. We hope you will like this Azumi peated. It is a nice Azumi peated.
