Kilhoman Lochgolm is a limited edition, released only once a year, made from malt with a phenolic value of 50 ppm cooked with plenty of Islay peat and aged in 100% sherry casks.
As can be seen from the vatting ratios of the typical McKeervey and Sanaig, 80% of the aging barrels used in Kilhorman are bourbon barrels, and the production of sherry barrel aging is low, so Lochgolm made in 100% sherry barrels is very rare.

This year's 2022 release will be made from 21 Oloroso sherry butt barrels aged over 10 years, with 990 bottles arriving in Japan.
Aromas of raisins and dark chocolate derived from Oloroso sherry with a thick smokiness characteristic of Kilhoman. The concentrated taste of dried fruits and salty peatiness with pleasant spice accents. This is a massive, rich bottle.
