Ikejiri-based importer RUDDER is releasing a single cask series called "T.I.R.", chosen by three of the leading figures in the modern whisky scene.

A relatively new distillery founded in 1966, the first single malt was released in 2016 and is well known by those in the know.
The distillery embodies the gorgeous flavors typical of Speyside, and with its refined taste, it can be said to have a quality that can be enjoyed by all.

One barrel selected this time has a rum barrel finish.
The bright aroma of the wine lingers and extends into a juicy aftertaste reminiscent of tropical fruits.
This is a great bottle with a gentle house style that is nicely topped with a gorgeous rum barrel-derived flavor.

Although the distillery is not well known, this bottle is a good example of a minor distillery that is still hidden in the market.

Tasting comment by shamrock Maekawa
Aroma: Beckhorn candy, elderflower, melon, honey toast, gardenia flower.
Taste: honeydew melon, leafless Fuji apple, amanuensis, dried apricot, Darjeeling. The finish is full of fruit. The finish is dry.

The glassy spirit of the tamnavulin turns quite fruity with the synergy of the rum barrels.
This is one of the best finishes in Tamnavulin.
