This wonderful bottle was released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Highlander in Tokyo, a famous whisky store that has supported Japanese whisky culture for many years.
It says "cider cask," but it is an English word that refers to cider (a brewed apple liquor), not the familiar sweet carbonated water. Cider is French, by the way!
It is difficult to imagine the taste because of its unusual specifications, but when you drink it, the combination of green apple-like aroma of Chichibu is very pleasant, and I must say that it is indeed Chichibu......perfection.
Although the whisky boom continues these days, we would like to enjoy whisky in the "future" without forgetting to thank our predecessors who were passionate about whisky before that time.
