Bunnahabhain 16 Year Old 1st Fill Sherry Hogshead Woodrow's
■New Whiskey Introduction
Woodrose of Edinburgh, a growing bottler brand that has been releasing a series of whiskies of high quality and originality and is rapidly gaining a following, has just arrived with a rather nice colored Beech Haven.
The essence of ▶︎ Woodrose of Edinburgh's whiskey making is the formation of flavors that complement the color of the original spirit and distillery.
This Beech Haven was distilled on August 29, 2007 and bottled on February 12, 2024.
Aged 14 years in bourbon hogsheads, followed by 1 year and 8 months in American oak Oloroso sherry hogsheads.
It has a bold and rich profile that embodies the essence of Islay.
I think this is one that will definitely stick with Beech Haven lovers.
▶︎ Beech Haven Distillery
Founded in 1881.
The sixth distillery on Islay and one of the few distilleries on Islay that makes a non-pit, non-smoky whiskey.
There is also a release of a smoky original under the name Stoisha.
