Introduction of newly arrived whiskey
Yamazaki, which offers the fresh woody aroma and fruitiness of new oak barrels and the original spicy flavor of Mizunara oak, is a special blend of Spanish oak and white oak barrels based on Mizunara oak barrels.
It is characterized by a complex and rich aroma produced from a wide variety of original Yamazaki sake.
The package design depicts the newly renovated and redesigned Yamazaki Distillery, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2023.
In addition, the distillery's appeal is conveyed through cartons and leaflets.
Tasting comment.
In order to cleanly bring out the lively aroma of new Mizunara oak barrels, the use of Spanish oak barrel stock and smoky stock is kept to a minimum.
We went through a lot of trial and error to find the right balance between the two.
Color: reddish amber
Aroma: Dried persimmon (rich sweetness), accented with clove
Taste: rich and complex, orange marmalade, red bean sweetness
Finish: smoky, spicy, and other complex lingering flavors.
