Single casks for the Kilhoman Japanese market, we have just introduced a tequila cask, and a single cask of 100% Islay has also arrived!
Barreled June 20, 2013, bottled November 29, 2021, 8 years old, 56.1 degrees, 20 PPM malt vs. the usual 50 PPM for a more terroir-oriented specification.
Unlike the regular release 100% Islay, this is a single cask, cask strength, limited to 240 bottles.

100% Islay is a single malt that is grown, malted, distilled, and bottled entirely on the island of Islay.
Medium peated malt (20 ppm) made from barley harvested from our own fields.
It is aged 8 years in first fill bourbon barrels and is a single cask cask strength bottling.

The color is orange-gold.
The nose has floral aromas of pear candy, lemon peel, vanilla, and honeyed flowers.
Light smokiness spreads.
The taste is sweet with salted caramel and butterscotch, mixed with light peat smoke,
The wine evolves into mixed fruit. Sea salt and peat smoke on the finish,
The sweet flavor of the malt blends harmoniously with a long, lingering finish.

The first-fill bourbon barrels give it a strong oak-derived character,
