From the high-profile Ghost Series, three types of Kanosuke have arrived 🥃.

▶︎ ghost series
This series is bottled from special casks of Japanese whisky selected by Stephan van Aken, the Japan editor of Whisky Magazine UK.

The label depicts a work from "Shinkei Sanjurokai-sen", a series of yokai (monsters) paintings by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, who was active from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period and is also known as the last ukiyoe (woodblock print) master.

The label is filled with unique whiskies that are different from the conventional products of each distillery in Japan.

■Kanosuke HIOKI POT STILL
Only 200 bottles were bottled.
Barley and malt are used as ingredients, and the style follows Irish whiskey by saccharification, fermentation, and stainless steel pot still using shochu-making techniques.
Aged for 42 months in new medium charred American white oak puncheon barrels.

Fresh caramel, dried persimmon, custard cream puffs, pencil shavings

▶︎ taste
Vanilla, toasted coconut flakes, roasted marshmallow with notes of nutmeg, clove, white pepper, cinnamon, orange zest and Brazil nut.

Long, pleasantly spicy, with custard notes of candied ginger and

Aged for 37 months in ex. bourbon barrels.

Honey pound cake, canele, fresh apple, porcini mushroom quiche, freshly washed shirt, unripe honeydew melon nuances.

Earl Grey flavored scones, sweet potato pie, banana bread and other baked goods, creamy jams (red potato butter, apple butter, espresso milk jam), white bean paste

▶︎ lingering
Slowly transforming into crème brûlée, white pepper and citrus peel.

■Kanosuke DOUBLE DISTILLERY
Two component wines, Kanosuke HIOKI POT STILL, aged in new American white oak puncheon and bourbon barrels, and Single Malt Kanosuke, aged in multiple barrels, including shochu litchi barrels, are vatted.
After that, it is aged for 10 months in the barrel-aged "ume-shu" barrels of Komasa Brewery.

This "limited edition" single-marijuana cask is a blend inspired by "Kanosuke" DOUBLE DISTILLERY, but with a uniquely Japanese essence unique to this series.

Sweet pastries, baked apricots with brown sugar, Turkish pastries, apricot pie, sour cherry pie

▶︎ taste
Complex and lush with notes of maple syrup toast, financier, college potatoes, pink bubblegum, cherry coke, and molasses

▶︎ lingering
Long but calm.
The sweet pastry is prominent, but there are also subtle nuances of elderflower liqueur and candied yuzu (citron) peel.
