Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, Teeling Whiskey Co. was founded in 2012 by Jack Teeling, then president of Cooley's, in an effort to bring back Irish "independence" to the Irish whiskey industry. In 2012, Jack Teeling, then president of Cooley's, left Cooley's to create handcrafted and small batch Irish whiskey.

This is a limited edition of the standard "single malt" product and uses "crystal malt" malt instead of regular malt.
This "crystal malt," often used as an ingredient in beer, is malted at a higher temperature than usual, which crystallizes the sugars and roasts them, bringing caramel and vanilla flavors. In addition, American virgin oak barrels are used for aging, which also adds vanilla and spice flavors during the aging stage.

■Official Tasting Notes
The nose is green apple, stewed pear, subtle brown sugar, vanilla with light oak shavings; the palate is toffee on the palate, spicy apple pie and fresh western pastry, octony sweetness later; the finish is sweet and elegant, soft cinnamon and caramel.

Barley malt is the raw material that determines the flavor of whiskey, and this whiskey is made from crystal malt, which is made at high roasting temperatures and has a beautiful caramel-like luster.
Elegant and luscious flavors such as toffee and caramel are imparted.
