This is the second installment of THE ULTIMATE SPIRITS' selection of Lindo's Single Cask. Distilled in 2019, the third year of its existence, a very interesting single cask was carefully selected, aged in an empty Ar Fat Beg cask that was aged in a rum cask. It retains the gentle, fruity house style of Lindoes, but the rum and peat influence adds a more ethereal aroma, and the peat-derived smoky flavor enriches the development. This is one that will surely be embraced by Lindze fans and other drinkers who are interested in Lowland, Islay, rum, or any of the others.
◆Tasting Notes
[Aroma] Incense, peat smoke, chlorine, turf soil, malted milk drink, barley porridge, and new leather products. Later, fruity aromas of marmalade, fruit candies, etc. boil up.
[Taste] Apple mint gum, apricot jam, honey lemon juice and lime sherbet. There are also nuances of ale beer, whole grain cookie and black tea.
Finish] Candied citrus peel, barley sugar, chaff, ginger, and new wood spices such as sansho continue pleasantly.
