Introduction of newly arrived whiskey

This is a new series in which Aaron Chan, a world-renowned whisky connoisseur and representative of Hong Kong whisky bar CLUBQING, and RUDDER representative Kitakaji Aaron Chan, a world-renowned whisky connoisseur and representative of Hong Kong whisky bar CLUBQING, and RUDDER's representative, Kitakaji, will spend time together in this new series.
Whiskey is a kind of big gamble, and life is the ultimate gamble.
Following Chichibu (the first volume), Imperial (the second volume), and Dufftown (the third volume), the fourth volume was a single cask of the original sake from the Mars Komagatake Distillery (formerly known as the Mars Shinshu Distillery), established in 1985 by the Hombo Brewery, which has been brewing sake for over 100 years since 1909.
Both parties conducted blind tastings from multiple cask samples, and the one cask selected was a 20 ppm medium peat, distilled in 2020, 1st fill Oloroso sherry hogshead from cask entry.
Thickly textured, complex whisky, with attractive herbal elements!

◆Tasting Notes

Nose: Strong top notes, licorice, bottled cola, dried dates, dried figs, tangerine, white flowers, cumin, milk chocolate, strong oak woodiness, milk powder.
Taste: pleasant strength, herbed tea, cough syrup, pickled cherries, orange tea, sweet spices, cold ash.
Finish: very long, brown sugar and many herbs, quite dry at the end.
