This bottle is 13 years old, aged for more than 3 years in empty casks of Tokaji, a Hungarian sweet white wine known as one of the three most noble wines in the world. Cask strength bottling in a single cask for Japan.
The color is orange-gold. Aroma is slightly soothing peat smoke.
Charred BBQ apricot, ripe quince, honey, and elderflower spread from behind the layers.
On the palate, peat smoke spreads with grilled peaches, and honey sweetness mingles with fruits such as pineapple, pear, and green apple.
Black pepper accents are added toward the finish, and notes of ash and beeswax are released.
This single cask combines the sweetness of fruit and honey from the Tokaji cask with the smoke of Carilla in a wonderful balance after 3 years of aging. We hope you will take this opportunity to enjoy it.
