Glenmorangie is a single malt Scotch whisky loved by whisky lovers. Glenmorangie Barrel Select Calvados", a new product finished in Calvados casks for the first time, is now available.
The Barrel Select series is a small batch production series in which the condition of each barrel is checked and only selected high quality barrels are used for aging.
Glenmorangie Barrel Select Calvados, the fourth in the series, is aged for more than 10 years in American white oak bourbon barrels to bring out the original elegance of Glenmorangie, and then for another 18 months in 20-year-old Calvados barrels from the Pays d'Auge region in Normandy, France. The wine is then aged for a further 18 months in 20 year old Calvados casks from the Pays d'Oge region of Normandy, France.

~Tasting Notes~.

Appearance: Bright golden yellow

Nose: Strong aromatic whisky. Aromas of baked apples, pears, vanilla, almonds, and a slight waxy note. With watering, floral notes of narcissus, jasmine and heather honey emerge. The final aroma is like baking a sweet pastry.

Mouth: Oily and spicy on the palate, then bursting with rich sweetness, including baked pear, toffee apple, almond marzipan, star anise and praline. Accompanied by lemon balsam, eucalyptus and slight charcoal notes.
Lingering: Long, slightly cool finish. (Adapted from the manufacturer's literature)
